  Does Your Life Have Purpose?

  witnesses teach that when you learn the "truth", you finally have a purpose in life.. when some witnesses decide to leave the religion, they might experience an emptiness because they realize now that their way of life really was totally a sham.. are jehovah's witnesses right about those that leave the organization no longer having a purpose in life?.

  yes, I discovered after 'leaving JWs'(i'm still in but semi-inactive)that there's more to life than having hope for eternal future.

  now I know it's important to get the most out of THIS life and not feel guilty about it.

  so i heard an interview with the "black eyed peas" who mention they jammed with prince at his home recently, only to have one excited member yell to prince....."your the sh#t man!

  " well how would a witness react to that????

  a staff member later told them prince did not like swearing in his house.

  i am a 28 year-old male, and yes i am from africa, south africa to be precise.. i was brought up in the 'truth', got baptised at 17 in 1998. df'd at 22 in 2003 for fornication.. reinstated at a different cong.

  in 2007 for the sake of my relationship with my family, especially mom.. after my reinstatement i was active in fs as well as attending meetings even though i could'nt comment.

  a few months down the line i found out about this forum while searching the net, i continued going to meetings and fs but as time went by i started feeling like it was'nt really that important to me.
